BLIND HOLES

PCD Boring Bits for blind holes

Boring bits for blind holes in PCD are ideal for making small or medium diameter blind holes in MDF, melamine and its derivatives. They can be used with chucks or adapters on CNC boring machines. They are not suitable for hand drills.

Wirutex’s range of polycrystalline diamond boring bits fo blind holes offers a variety of products which come in different lengths and diameters:

  • Boring bit for blind holes
  • Boring bits for blind holes with a solid tungsten carbide body
  • Boring bits for blind holes with countersink

The PCD boring bits for blind holes are available with an 8 or 10 mm diameter and different cutting lengths. They all have a centring tip to allow precise positioning on the desired point. Ideal for machining MDF and melamine.

Design

  • Polycrystalline diamond (PCD) centring point
  • Polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tips
  • Parallel shank with driving flat and adjusting screw
  • Feed speed: up to 3 m/min
  • Max. rpm: 12,000

Used on boring machines and CNC machining centres, boring bits for blind holes with a solid tungsten carbide (HWM) body, available in 5, 8 and 10 mm diameters, are ideal for machining MDF and melamine. The HWM body guarantees greater resistance.

Design

  • Solid tungsten carbide (HWM) body
  • Polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tips
  • Parallel shank with driving flat and adjusting screw
  • Feed speed: up to 3 m/min
  • Max. rpm: 12,000

Boring bits for blind holes with countersink

Boring bits for blind holes with countersink

Boring bits in PCD suitable for making countersunk blind holes. To be used on boring and CNC machines, they are available in a 8 or 10 mm diameter and 57.5 or 70 mm total length.

Design

  • Polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tips
  • Parallel shank with driving flat and adjusting screw
  • Feed speed: up to 3 m/min
  • Max. rpm: 12,000
